Retro was quite lonely for a friend today. After coming back from the neighbors disappointed, he decided to stay outside and try and build a little sledding hill. He looked like he was struggling a little so I decided to brave the cold and go help the kid. We did a decent job building this little slope out of the old crusty icey snow. I was feeling pretty good about myself as a mother and then.....
this.
His exact words were, "Mom, I got blood." He sat there in the snow for a bit before he decided he was bleeding, then came and found me, and then cried. He sliced his chin a little and has a fat lip, but he's tough.

Ouch! I'm laughing and wincing! And I love that you had the camera at the ready. Poor little guy!
yes, poor little guy, he's looking for his mothers comfort while you are trying to snap a picture!!! haha
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
I love little boys. I'll take a sled and a sore on the face over girl drama any day.
Oh poor little guy. Can, I just say...he is a handsome little kid. seriously (even with a bloody chin.) hehe. You are such a good mommy to help build him a ramp :)
your blog music is so enjoyable. so is your blog. sometimes i leave your blog up so it plays the music. so please don't think i am stalking you or anything.
Oh Amy, that picture is so sad, and kind of intense cause it looks like it is actually happening every time I look at it. Ya know, Rhett will always think you are the coolest Mom cause you helped him make the sweet sleddng hill - he'll forget about his war wounds.
Meg
OOOOOOO sister, the one of many more war wounds!
