Root Canal

Today I spent an hour and a half at the dentist getting a root canal and a tooth extraction. I was so nervous the whole morning. Good times. I am so glad it's over. I needed the extraction because I put off getting a root canal on a tooth they started and finally it broke off. It didn't hurt at all, getting the shot for the numbing was the only pain. Just a long time with my mouth wide open listening to drilling in my mouth. Every so often I would realized I was clenching my butt cheeks and then I would try to relax and then I would realize I was doing it again. ha ha
I am turning over a new leaf and I have already made my next 6 month checkup. I am never again going to go any longer betweeen checkups. I need these teeth, I've finally realized.

My mouth is pretty sore. They gave me lortab, but I haven't needed it. The ibuprofen is doing the job just fine.

So brush and floss your teeth and go see your dentist!!

I am sorry you had to go through that! I had a root canal when nine months pregnant with Abbott and almost fainted - all that time flat on my back. Hope your recovery continues to go smoothly!

I really enjoy going to the dentist. I've been going to the same dentist since I was 5. That is until I had to have my first root canal. It was the absolute worst experience ever. If I every have to have another one I will definitely bring my ipod. The sounds made me sick to my stomach.
I hope you get feeling better soon.

Ahhh! I may be right behind ya! I haven't been to the dentist since before I got married, like over 4 yrs ago! I have never had a cavity, but I'm thinking with two pregnancies where I couldn't brush without throwing up I'm in for it. I will take your advice and book my appt. today! PS I bet it was a good Butt workout!

Oh man- I have TOTALLY been there. Root canals are NO fun! That is funny about the butt cheeks- I do that EVERY time I go to the Orthodontist to get an adjustment. Then I wonder why my butt is sore the next day along with my mouth. :)

ps. Sorry we didnt make it to Nayts shower...I was getting an IV :( But we still have his present....I hope everyone had fun
