Save a Life, adopt a shelter dog!

That is exactly what I did!!! Meet the newest member of our family. Greta!!

Never thought I was a dog person before. A few months ago I had a blue heeler dog follow me home from a yard sale up the street. I had a weak moment. I did everything I could to find his previous owners with no luck. Long story short, we were new owners of a dog. The dog was house trained and my new best friend. the only problem was, he didn't like anyone else and liked to bite them.

After having the dog for a few months, we just couldn't do it anymore and found him a new home on a farm. (love ksl) The deal was with the kids that if we got rid of max, we would get them a new dog.

I found myself constantly online on petfinder.com looking for a dog. So here is Greta. We just adopted her on saturday. She is a plot hound. So far, she has been a great dog. Very sweet and quiet. She makes a great hiking companion, but also a nicer cuddler on the couch. yes, I let her on the couch.

I'm a sucker.

You are such a softie! I don't like taking care of pets, but I know how wonderful they can be, especially for the kids and how long-lasting the memories are. Greta's lucky, too.
